About Ingy
I’m an experienced English teacher and former Head of Department with several years of experience teaching secondary and high school students in international schools.
What I enjoy most about teaching English is helping students reach the point where something that once felt confusing suddenly makes sense. Whether it is analyzing literature, structuring an essay, improving writing or preparing for an assessment, I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their own ideas.
I’m supportive and approachable, but I also believe in challenging students to achieve more than they initially think they can. My classroom experience has taught me that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and approach accordingly.
For me, good English teaching is about more than passing an exam. It is about giving students the confidence to communicate, think critically and express themselves clearly.

I’m an experienced high school English teacher and former Head of Department, and I tailor every lesson to the individual student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
My lessons focus on building real understanding and confidence in English, whether a student needs support with literature, reading comprehension, analytical and essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, exam preparation, or simply expressing their ideas more clearly.
I use clear explanations, guided practice, discussion, model answers and targeted feedback, while helping students understand why an answer works rather than simply memorizing what to write. I also break difficult texts and writing tasks into manageable steps so students can become increasingly independent.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes and are suitable for secondary and high school students, including Grades 9–12 and students preparing for IGCSE/O-Level English.
My aim is not only to improve grades, but to help students become stronger, more confident readers, writers and thinkers.
