About Maya
I am currently a medical school student and previously did an undergraduate degree in biomedical science. I’ve been a tutor for 5 years now, since I was in high school and worked as an assistant instructor at my university teaching first-year chemistry for 2 years while in my undergrad. I completed my undergraduate degree with a final GPA of 3.96 and am able to tutor biology and chemistry at both the high school and university level.

I like to incorporate methods that have been scientifically tested and proven to work, specifically to use the retrieval method that is basically trying to test knowledge to make sure it is attained, along with coming up with mnemonics to remember things.

Perfect! Maya was a really great tutor for our daughter. She was an amazing resource for random questions (not feeling silly about asking questions) and her passion for the subject was infectious. Very approachable, excellent at explaining concepts and how ideas all fit together.
