I strongly recommend Gloria as a Spanish teacher based on her experience with students of all levels. She teaches professionals (from Policemen to Lawyers and Doctors), college level and high school AP students, and beginners. Gloria is a relative of mine. She is the most experienced native Spanish teacher I know. From teaching cops and medical professionals to teaching high school students, she has mastered teaching people of all ages how to speak Spanish. Gloria has taught AP Spanish classes for the last 20 or so years and all of her students to date have passed the AP exam. Her rate of success is exemplary. She has mentored many Spanish teachers at her high school and has taught them much of what she knows. When I see her students, they speak wonders of her. She loves to use a multimodal approach to learning, incorporating music, food, culture, literature, etc. into every vocabulary lesson she does. Aside from being a great teacher, she is a kind, energetic, responsible, and caring person. All of her students ask her to come to their graduations and reunions and remember her for many years after.

Señora Kopelioff was my Spanish teacher for two years. She taught Honors Spanish 4 and AP Spanish Language and Culture. She was an amazing teacher because she knew what she was doing. She has taught AP Spanish for over 20 years and she was even a reader for the College Board. She has a 100% pass rate and her students average a 4 or 5 on the AP test. When teaching grammar, she teaches tricks and gives plenty examples until the rules stick with you. She also provides a handful of quizlets and other study materials. Furthermore, she makes learning fun and different by incorporating videos, games, and activities in order to reach to all kinds of learners. She is very patient and genuinely cares about her students. She is also flexible and always makes herself available to help her students. I would definitely recommend her to another student!

I worked with Jenny for thirteen years at Milken Community Schools, five of those years as department chair. Jenny taught the advanced levels of Spanish including AP Spanish, she was the Director of the Mexico Exchange Program, the Spanish Club Faculty Mentor, Technology Mentor, and a high school Advisor. Jenny is very passionate and enthusiastic about teaching Spanish. She works very well with children and teenagers making every class interesting, challenging and fun to engage her students.
