My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching
I believe learning should be engaging, personalized, and results-driven. My teaching approach combines clear explanations with interactive tasks, real-world examples, and structured practice to ensure students not only understand concepts but can also apply them confidently. I use questioning techniques, past paper practice, and digital tools such as quizzes, Kahoot, and interactive whiteboards to keep lessons dynamic and effective.
Lesson Structure and Length
A typical lesson lasts 60–90 minutes, depending on the needs of the student. Lessons usually start with a quick recap of prior knowledge, followed by the introduction of new concepts, guided practice, and exam-style application. Each session ends with a short summary or reflection activity to check progress.
Qualifications and Experience
I am a qualified teacher (PGCE) with over 10 years of experience, including 4 years teaching internationally in the UAE and Kuwait. I specialize in Geography and Psychology and have taught both Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel curricula at IGCSE, AS, and A-Level. I am also an international examiner for Pearson, giving me unique insight into how examiners award marks and what students need to succeed.
