About Karin
I have been tutoring in ESL for more than 8 years; my students are generally adults at a fairly advanced level. I help them become more comfortable with all aspects of conversation- pronunciation, advanced vocabulary that fits their particular circumstances, idioms, accent reduction, etc.

I take a very practical, real-world approach. The student may need vocabulary tailored to his or her job, family situation, or social life. I use as many modes as possible- having a student read a story aloud and teaching them the vocabulary used while correcting their pronunciation and intonation, or having them write and then explain what they wrote to improve both writing and speech.
