About Katrina
I started my teaching career as a classroom teacher in 2000. While in the classroom for over 20 years I was named Teacher of the Year at three different schools. I believe I was recognized with this honor three times because I bring my passion for learning into the classroom. As a tutor I use the same passion and enthusiasm to ensure my tutorial sessions meet the needs of my students while having fun!

I use hands-on, meaningful, engaging, and research-based activities to personalize instruction for all students. I specialize in working with elementary students as well as older students needing foundational literacy skills. I ensure students' needs are met by completing a battery of diagnostic surveys to identify areas of strengths and areas of growth. This data will be used to craft personalized lessons to meet each students' needs. My goal is to grow students to their full potential in a fun and engaging environment.
