About Srikannt
I have been working as Head of Science at a high achieving Independent School in London for the past fifteen years having previously worked for several years in state schools. I have also, since 2005, conducted one-to-one and group sessions both in person and online for UK and international students. During these years, I have specialised in teaching Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to GCSE, IGCSE and KS4 levels for all exam boards; including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. For over a decade, I have also taught Maths up to KS3, the IB Biology syllabus and Biology at A Level. I enjoy teaching separate and combined sciences to the whole ability range from foundation, through intermediate to higher. A calm approach and a leaning towards questioning are the characteristics which make my teaching style distinctive. I always strive to provide a firm foundation and stimulate curiosity in order to enable students to become independent learners. Feedback from my students, tells me that I am able to make difficult concepts easy to understand. I have also had the privilege of teaching students from a number of high achieving schools including Latymer Grammar, The Swaminarayan Senior School, The City of London, Henrietta Barnet, Q E Boys, North London Collegiate, University College School, Haberdasher’s Aske’s and Merchant Taylor’s to name but a few. Many of my students have aspired to become doctors, engineers, pharmacists, dentists and research scientists by completing their higher education at prestigious universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL and several other Russell Group universities in the UK. Several other of my students have gone on to achieve places at Ivy League universities in the USA. One-to-one tuition makes such a big difference in learning at your own pace and in supplementing what is learned in the classroom. These factors help aspiring learners to gain more in-depth understanding while enabling more able students to benefit by developing better application skills. Handling exam-style questions and getting under the skin of the examiner requires hours of dedication and commitment, I have expertise in both revision and exam techniques which has helped students master these essential disciplines. I am a fully qualified teacher with PGCE and QTS. I hold a current DBS (CRB) check. I am available for tutoring during weekday evenings from 16:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 07:00 to 17:00.
