About Jialan
I am a theatre actress/director from China. I am based in London and my schedule is very flexible as I am a freelance.
I've been tutoring Mandarin to children and adults for 3 years and once designed classes for Mandarin teaching organizations. Students loved my teaching as they had fun whilst learning the language, some really shy students became confident in speaking and using the language.
I usually teach 1.5 hours, with the first half hour to recap what we learned before, second half hour to learn new things and the third part to really play and extend from what we learned.
I'm also very happy assist any exam!

I teach people mandarin in a fun and engaging way. I use games, role playing and little tricks that help you to pronounce it well or remember the grammar. I also encourage my students to form good habits to keep learning the language, so that you don't give up half way! So it will be a fun, informative, encouraging process!
