About Nico

Hello! I’m Nico — a Chemical Engineering graduate with a strong passion for applied mathematics and science. My academic journey sharpened my skills in both pure and applied math, allowing me to support learners across a variety of STEM subjects. From working with high school students to mentoring peers at the college level, I’ve developed a methodical and friendly approach that prioritizes deep understanding and confidence. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, aiming to raise your average, or just want a clearer grasp of quantitative reasoning, I’m ready to help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

Every session with me is built to empower students with understanding, not just memorization:

Precalculus – Develop the groundwork needed for higher math; explore functions, trigonometry, and foundational algebra
Calculus – Learn core concepts including limits, derivatives, integrals, and real-world applications step-by-step
Quantitative Methods – Understand how to analyze data, apply formulas, and solve practical problems with clarity
STEM Support – Tailored help for general STEM challenges including study techniques, time management, and subject integration
Personalized pacing, problem-solving guidance, concept reinforcement, and exam/test preparation included
Optional take-home problems, reviews of past assignments, and flexible scheduling available

Whether you’re facing a tough unit or preparing for your finals, I’ll help you build a toolkit that lasts far beyond one test.

Nico has a calm teaching style and makes each lesson feel productive. He uses helpful examples, explains things at the right pace, and makes sure I leave understanding the topic better than when I started.

Nico called me before having his first lesson with my son and asked about my son as an individual. As an educator I was surprised and delighted by this. It indicated to me that Mark tailored his approach to the student and that's amazing. My son was really happy after the first lesson (provided for free) and explained that Mark had taught him alternative ways to work on specific math problems. We are looking forward to the second lesson!
