About Sarah

I've been a learner for as long as I can remember! I love learning--but I love helping others learn even more. For my education, I earned my B.A. in English and minors in French and German from Texas A&M University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While at Texas A&M, I wrote an undergraduate research thesis and had my work published in a research journal. I was also a teaching assistant for the German department. Outside of teaching, I love reading, being outside, and spending quality time with my family.

About the lesson

I'm a lifelong learner and educator who is passionate about teaching. I have been an educator for 9 years. Most recently, I taught English as a certified teacher at the secondary level.

I'm passionate about delivering highly interactive lessons, which equip my students with the tools they need to continuously learn, even outside our sessions. I pride myself in differentiating my instruction to suit the needs of all learners--I've taught ESL, special education, and gifted and talented students alike. I also have extensive experience with learning disabilities.

A lesson with me will be primarily focused on YOU building the skills you need, now and in the future. I like to guide my students with lots of thoughtful questions and interactive activities. My lessons are highly discussion and activity based--you will learn with me by doing, not just listening! As a professional educator, I know how to use my learners' preferences to create an engaging and effective learning experience.
