About Molly

I’m a British native speaker with more than six years of experience teaching students of all ages. From primary children to adult learners, both in the UK and internationally. I specialise in: - GCSE English Language & Literature (AQA, Edexcel) - IELTS Academic & General Training - English as a Second Language (A1 to C2 level) - 11+ and 13+ Entrance Exam Preparation. All lessons are delivered online, making them ideal for families and individuals who want flexibility, consistency, and high-quality teaching from anywhere in the world.

My teaching approach is calm, structured, and tailored to each learner’s individual pace and personality. I believe real progress comes from consistent support, purposeful practice, and helping students understand not only what to learn but why it matters.

Holding a degree in English Language and Linguistics alongside further teaching qualifications, I have worked successfully with both native and non-native speakers.

About the lesson

I offer engaging, personalised English lessons that help students build confidence, improve key skills, and develop a clear understanding of language and exam expectations. If you're preparing for your GCSEs, IELTS, learning English as a second language, or getting ready for entrance exams such as the 11+ or 13+, I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual level, learning style, and goals.

My teaching style is structured but flexible. I combine clear explanations with interactive tasks, real-life contexts, and practical strategies. For GCSE students, I focus on exam technique, analysis skills, and timed writing practice.

For IELTS preparation, I provide targeted support for all four components, particularly Writing Task 2 and the Speaking test, using model answers, band descriptors, and regular mock practice. For entrance exams (11+ and 13+), I focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and creative writing, ensuring students feel prepared and confident.

For ESL learners, I help build fluency, vocabulary, and communication skills through conversation and structured activities. Lessons are typically 60-90 minutes long and include a mix of reading, writing, speaking and listening tasks. I provide regular feedback, encourage independent learning, and create a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
