About Mia
I am a 4th year student in University of Toronto doing a Specialist in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology as well as a Minor in Statistics (I am more than happy to talk or give advice on my fields of study if you would be interested in). I currently doing my exchange in KU Leuven. I have prior experience in Mentoring students for Competitions/Programs such as Innovative Thinking Program where I have worked with a group high school students collaboratively to provide them with information sessions as well as sub and final sections of the Program. I also have an experience in tutoring 1st year and 2nd year Biology students in University of Toronto for 2 years.

- I teach using presentation slides containing only key words and figures to make it visually understandable for the student in addition to talking through it and answering questions while doing so to accommodate the student with my best abilities
- I also change my methodology according to the student's need because lesson are there for the student to understand the concept better not for the teacher to prove their methodology
- Lessons are for any student in school doing biology or for anyone who would like to get some knowledge on the field of biology.
- I am also happy to include any specific non-school Biology related topics if you would like to get more information on it (for instance if you are trying to apply to university and you are wandering what a specific branch of biology focuses on and etc .)
