About Kasra
Started his journey as a musician at the age of 10 with the classical guitar. Performed in different studio performances and classical guitar seminars for youth. Then decided to pursue music performance seriously by going to Tehran Conservatory of Music at the age of 13 where he started playing the beautiful and mysterious instrument, the clarinet. He played in different youth and professional symphony orchestras around the country and two years before getting his diploma he formed a clarinet quartet with his close clarinetist friends, and they performed at different events and concerts. During those years chamber music for him, was the most fun thing to do, and it also created the opportunity to start arranging different pieces for different types of ensembles. After getting his diploma he moved to Canada and took some time off studies to work on other aspects of music than classical music performance such as sound recording, electronic music, DAWs, VST and MIDI sounds, etc. Then he went back to school to continue his studies in clarinet performance under the principal clarinet of Orchestre Métropolitain, Dr. Simon Aldrich, at McGill Schulich School of Music and he’s been active playing with chamber ensembles and McGill Wind Orchestra.
