About Emily

My name is Emily Wilson, I am a qualified secondary and primary school teacher with a specialization in special education needs. I am a qualified TEFL teacher and I have been teaching various subjects in International schools and online for 9 years. I have been tutoring online for 6 months and I currently manage and teach in a language program that offers language education to over 200 Adults.
I have a Masters in Humanitarian affairs in education in the faculty of social sciences of York University.

I have taught a wide range of TEFL curricula and I have 6 years of experience in teaching The AQA curriculum used in the UK. I work very well with both children and adults, I understand the importance of designing lessons to suit all types of learners whilst making the process enjoyable and comfortable.

My background is in the Arts and social sciences with a strong focus on education as a tool for empowerment within our international community. Learning Should be fun and interesting. I have traveled and lived in many different countries and I thoroughly enjoy teaching students of all abilities, ages and backgrounds.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is extremely student-focused. Different students want different things, I ensure to assess the level of the student when I begin teaching but also to focus on their motivations behind learning the English Language and other subjects that I teach . I enjoy making difficult concepts accessible for my students and I believe that it is important to make mistakes to learn.

Whilst working with children I ensure that appropriate pedagogy is used and that the content is accessible and motivating, With 6 months experience of teaching children English online I am very aware that young people need a different approach to education, one which is enjoyable and stimulating. I look forward to meeting my prospective students soon.

Emily is down to earth and very skilled at what she does. She has training in working with people from all over the world. She is fun and makes you feel very comfortable and happy in the class. I would really recommend her as a Yoga teacher for beginners to advanced students.

I met Emily through a course that she ran in athens helping aid workers and volunteers with yoga classes and mindfulness.

She is passionate about helping people during these stressful times and will make you feel completely at ease in her class!
