About Alexandra

I’m an experienced secondary school teacher and Head of Department, with a Master’s degree in Education and a strong passion for helping students feel confident in their learning. I studied Geography at A-Level and have always maintained a strong personal interest in the subject, allowing me to confidently support students studying Geography at GCSE level.

As a Head of Department, I have extensive experience supporting students to make progress, identifying gaps in understanding and developing effective exam skills. My MA in Education has further developed my understanding of how students learn and how to adapt teaching to meet individual needs.

My lessons are structured, supportive and engaging, with a focus on building subject knowledge, developing exam technique and increasing confidence. I particularly enjoy making challenging topics easier to understand and helping students recognise that Geography can be an interesting and rewarding subject.

About the lesson

My Geography lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on building confidence, strengthening subject knowledge and developing the exam skills needed to achieve strong results.

I break down challenging topics into clear, manageable explanations and use a combination of questioning, retrieval practice, exam-style questions and personalised feedback to help students understand not just what to learn, but how to apply it in an exam.

Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, want to improve your exam technique, or are aiming for the very top grades, lessons will be adapted to your individual needs and goals. I aim to create a supportive, relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence.

Lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level Geography students.
