About Kate
I am a Master's student at the University of Edinburgh and received my undergraduate degree from Colgate University (Liberal Arts college in the United States). I have been tutoring various subjects, including English, for the last five years with students of all ages, as well as teaching English as a second language in classrooms. I am also experienced in working one-on-one with students with learning disabilities such as severe ADD/ADHD and dyslexia.

I like to start out by having a frank discussion with the student about how they are feeling about the subject matter and what they feel like they need to work on. From there, I can judge what the most beneficial strategy would be and how we can move forward together. I like to make learning fun and believe positive reinforcement and encouragement is a crucial part of the learning process, particularly with young students.
