About Anel

I assisted a British school in Perú (I was born in Lima) and completed the IGCSE and IB examinations. I studied Social Sciences as an undergraduate at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (graduated in 2019) and recently completed a Master's in Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. Aside from extensive tutoring experience, I have also worked as a University lecturer in Peru. I am starting an Anthropology PhD this September.

About the lesson

I am a tutor with extensive experience teaching GCSE, AS and AL Sociology. I will help you prepare for your exams with special tricks to answer all the questions! Sessions are always tailored to the student's needs. We will discuss your goals and needs during our introductory meeting (free). I will then organise sessions involving one or more of the following lesson types: Review and feedback: review the student's previous work, providing valuable feedback and support for improvement. Assessment: identifying the student's understanding, addressing misconceptions, and providing targeted instruction to fill knowledge gaps. Lecture: comprehensive explanation of the targeted concept, providing clarity and understanding for the student. Student-led Q&A tutorial: the student explores topics of interest and relevance to them. Exam Practice: solving exam questions together. Exercises, textbooks, past papers and other materials are available.

Anel is a wonderful tutor, she helped me so much! I only had a couple months before my exams and she was able to fully prep me before hand with her accommodating teaching style and resources. As well as this she was able to cater to my syllabus and books which was extremely helpful. I would 100% recommend her and am really thankful I was able to have her as my tutor :)

Anel is a friendly, approachable and patient tutor. She is also generally well educated, and I have no doubt that she would be able to tutor many other subjects at GCSE, AS and A Level. I know that she is educated to a high level in the social sciences and could even teach to an undergraduate level, which I believe she has done in the past.
