The "classes of science" usually refer to the broad branches or categories of science. These are the main fields into which scientific knowledge is traditionally divided. The primary classes of science include:
1. Physical Science – The study of non-living systems.
Physics: Study of matter, energy, and their interactions.
Chemistry: Study of substances, their properties, and how they react.
Astronomy: Study of celestial objects and the universe.
2. Biological Science (Life Science) – The study of living organisms.
Biology: General study of life and living organisms.
Botany: Study of plants.
Zoology: Study of animals.
Microbiology: Study of microscopic organisms.
3. Earth Science – The study of the Earth and its components.
Geology: Study of Earth's structure and materials.
Meteorology: Study of weather and atmosphere.
Oceanography: Study of oceans.
