About Trevor

I am an ESL tutor with a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature and 13 years of experience teaching learners from diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels. My lessons are designed to help students achieve fluency, comprehension, and confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I emphasise vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation through practical, context-based exercises to ensure real-world application. Lessons incorporate interactive activities, authentic texts, multimedia resources, and real-life scenarios to make learning engaging and meaningful. About the lesson

ESL lessons with me focus on practical English skills for everyday communication. Each lesson starts with a review of prior lessons to consolidate learning. We practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills equally. Vocabulary is taught contextually using texts, dialogues, and exercises. Grammar is explained clearly and applied through exercises and examples. Listening comprehension is developed using audio recordings, dialogues, and videos. Speaking practice includes conversation drills, role-plays, and pronunciation exercises. Reading exercises enhance comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. Writing sessions cover sentence construction, paragraph writing, and essays. Real-life situations are included to make learning practical. Lessons are interactive and encourage participation and questions. Homework reinforces learning outside of class. Feedback is provided to monitor progress and improvement. Lessons are adapted to each student’s learning pace and style. Confidence-building is emphasised in every session. Students leave fluent, confident, and motivated. Lessons are structured, engaging, and practical for all learners.
