I have had the pleasure to know and teach Ms. Deena Helmy Aly Helmy for more than 15 years when I was working at “Misr International University, Cairo, Egypt”. Deena graduated spring 2004 with an outstanding performance in Economics and Marketing majors. I taught her Operations Management, Decision Models Analysis, and Statistics for Business. She has a strong command of the English language.

Deena brings to all of her activities energy, enthusiasm, and commitment. As a student, she has been ever-willing to work with her colleagues in the university to share her knowledge and skills with them. She has a deep-rooted spirit of helpfulness that coupled with her quick grasp of subject matter that speaks well to her potential as an instructor.

What I find most engaging in Deena’s character are her wide-ranging interests outside of education. One of her abiding interests was helping her colleagues. She can be quickly engaged in an in depth discussion. Deena’s broad range of interests speaks well to her potential as a researcher, employee, and a good friend to people that she knows. That is why we are still in contact since she graduated in 2004.
Ms. Deena Helmy Aly Helmy is a valued friend. Her combination of intelligence, commitment, perseverance, creativity, and compassionate character will certainly make her a valuable member of any academic/professional institution. I encourage any institution to look favorably upon her application. Judging by my long experience as an academic, a Ph.D. graduate of Southampton University, England (1987), a visiting professor at Tennessee Technological University, Tennessee, USA (1993), I think that Deena would have no problem in fitting to any reputable institution.
