Daniel has always gone above and beyond what is typically expected of professors. He is knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated toward his students' success. He has experience both in industry and academia, and is able to give guidance in both the theoretical and practical applications of organic, general, and analytical chemistry with equal aplomb.
I first met Daniel as an undergraduate at the University of Memphis, where he took me under his wing and convinced me to join the graduate program there. He served as a caring and able MS advisor. I owe a good portion of my PhD to him, as without his guidance I would likely haven't made it into Vanderbilt.
