About Haim
I am an enthusiastic, creative, and caring social studies teacher, with over 20 years of classroom experience in private, charter, and public schools as well as in elementary, middle and high school levels and with adults.
Being a personable teacher, I always found it easy to connect with my students of all ages and levels. In addition, I was able to gain excellent experience of working with diverse population, while teaching in several urban school systems.
As an avid reader and lover of history, I always try to add to my knowledge, especially when it comes to current events. I also use this knowledge together with my legal background, my travelling experience and my understanding of cultures to create creative lessons that assist the students in the process of learning.
Finally, if I can add my experiences as a soccer and basketball player, singing and playing guitar, writing songs and articles and doing voice over, it will become clear to you that having me as a tutor is going to be a very unique experience.

My teaching philosophy is that the key to teaching/tutoring any student is the creation of comfortable environment between the teacher and the student, allowing the student to feel free to ask questions and express him/her self. I can help you with simple assignments or with large essays (including the selection of topics, research methods and the writing process).
As a seasoned teacher, I will easily be able to work with you to adjust the lessons and the learning to your needs. This applies specifically to Middle and High School students. However, with my various experiences and knowledge, I can acomodate students that are younger or older as well (including adults).
In addition, I am a very creative teacher who relies many times on other skills and experiences that complement the above. My travels around the world helped me to better understand world geography and various cultures, two main elements of social studies. Finally, my law degree and my legal experience serve as great assets when dealing with civics, politics and the American legal system.
