About Zara
As a university student, I still remember the pressures of GCSEs, so I understand how overwhelming exams can sometimes feel. I'm passionate about helping students build confidence in chemistry and showing that it's possible to improve with the right support.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing my violin in orchestras, painting and spending time with my friends. I'm friendly, patient, and enthusiastic, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students achieve their academic goals but also to help them feel more confident in their own abilities.

Hi! I'm Zara, and I'm currently studying an Integrated Master's in Chemistry at the University of Bristol after achieving A*AAA at A-level and grades 9–7 across all of my GCSEs. I'm passionate about chemistry and enjoy helping others understand topics that can sometimes seem challenging.
I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs and learning style. My aim is to build a strong understanding of the core principles of chemistry while encouraging active recall and helping students develop effective revision techniques that they can continue to use independently outside of lessons.
A typical lesson is divided into three sections. First, we introduce and explore a new topic or revisit one the student finds challenging. Next, we reinforce understanding through active recall, discussion, and worked examples. Finally, we spend the last 15 minutes completing and marking past paper questions, helping students apply their knowledge and become familiar with exam-style questions.
I primarily offer lessons for GCSE Chemistry students. Having completed my own GCSEs and A-levels relatively recently, I understand the challenges students face and the techniques that are most effective for mastering difficult topics and preparing for exams. Whether you're aiming to improve your confidence, prepare for exams, or achieve the highest grades, I'll tailor each lesson to help you reach your goals.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged if needed.
