About Preksha
I am currently a year 12 student who is in their first year of A-levels, studying biology, chemistry, physics, and French. I am an outgoing individual who is passionate about the sciences but has the patience and teaching abilities to effectively tutor any student wanting to improve their subject. Previously, I have mentored younger students in French and maths as part of my Duke of Edinburgh volunteering which opened the doors of tutoring and developed my love for it; I now work at a private tutoring centre based in Maidstone, allowing me to continue my passion and enthusiasm for teaching and education.

The most important method I teach is consistency. I believe in working hard but also working smart so that students are using their time efficiently and are increasing their productivity. I encourage them to do a bit of work every day instead of overworking and cramming as they start to rely on short-term memory over long-term which is far more beneficial. Past papers and exam questions are my main method of teaching, but if a student doesn't understand a certain topic, I will explain and break down topics easily so that they not only just learn the topic but also have a thorough understanding of it. I can go through different revision techniques depending on the topic but also explore and discover what works best with the student so that their learning is effective.
Once we outline what their weaknesses are, I will draw up a lesson plan of what material to cover each lesson so that sessions are organised and tailored to the student's needs and will also set homework to follow up the learned content.
