About Isabella

I am a recent Chemistry graduate from the University of Bristol, achieving a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with First Class Honours. I have tutored students in Chemistry at both A-level and GCSE, helping to boost results by 1-2 grade equivalents. I am sociable, enthusiastic, and hard-working, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help improve students' understanding and enjoyment of Chemistry, and to achieve their very best.

About the lesson

Each student will have an initial online lesson, where we will discuss the areas that they find difficult and would like to prioritise. I will also have some questions prepared for this session that we will go through together so that I can have a greater understanding of the student's ability and any other areas they might find challenging. With this in mind, I will create a lesson plan and in each lesson, there will be time allocated to revision, teaching, question practice, and student queries from school or independent study. Once we have tackled the key topics we can then start to look at past papers and exam techniques.

I am flexible with my teaching method, and depending on the preferred style, the sessions can be student or tutor-led. I aim for the lessons to be enjoyable and engaging, and for the student to come away with a strong sense of achievement and, ultimately, a greater understanding of the subject.

After being disappointed my AS level maths grade I asked Bella to tutor me for my re-sits. She was a major part in my success. She is extremely easy to communicate with and I felt I could ask any question regardless of how silly I thought it may be. She is also very patient and had no problem with explaining things multiple times until I fully understood them.
