About Alisha
Hi! I’m Alisha, a medical student and passionate English tutor. My love for public speaking and teaching truly took off when I represented delegates at the Oxford Global MUN in 2024, where I discovered how much I enjoy guiding, explaining, and communicating complex ideas clearly.
When I sat for my IELTS exam on short notice for a last-minute university application, I scored an 8.5+ on my very first attempt. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to helping other students achieve top-tier results—especially those stuck at a Band 6.0 or 7.0 who need that breakthrough push to reach an 8.0 or higher.
My specialty is diagnosing the exact flaws in your preparation or test-taking strategy. Many capable students score lower than they should simply because of minor structural or timing mistakes. I provide proven strategies, actionable feedback, and structured practice to fix those gaps fast.
Beyond test strategy, I believe true language mastery comes from genuine comfort. As someone whose first love is English literature, I always tell my students: "A language knows when you aren't comfortable in it, and immersing yourself in its literature is the best way to fix that."

My teaching approach is simple and personalized: I believe learning English should feel like an engaging conversation, not a strenuous chore. To keep lessons vibrant and contextual, I integrate literature, art, and cinema into our curriculum alongside consistent, structured testing.
For students aiming to take the IELTS exam within the next 6 months, I recommend a tri-weekly, one-on-one schedule. To build both strategy and stamina, my students complete two tests per week: one full-length mock exam under strict timed conditions, and one targeted test focusing on a specific section.
