About Chelsea
I am a graduate from Sarah Lawrence College in English Literature. I've also studied abroad at the University of Oxford, where I was awarded an A grade for my thesis in modernist literature. I've tutored students from a range of ages and backgrounds, and enjoy tailoring lessons to my student's personal interests, as I believe learning works best when we feel genuinely interested and heard. My practical experience includes working as an editorial intern at a New York art magazine, a staff writer at The Sarah Lawrence Phoenix, and a trainer at Oxford Nightline.

I'm familiar with teaching a range of English curricula standards, from A-Levels to the International Baccalaureate at the high school level to middle school.
My goal is always to hone critical thinking skills and soft skills in analyzing, writing, and communicating. I want my students to walk away with a real understanding and perspective on the material we read. I'm happy to work with school-assigned texts or to put together syllabi tailored to your personal interests and goals.
