About Stella

I am a tutor and environmental instructor based in the Las Vegas area with a strong passion for education, service, and community outreach. I strive to make learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful for individuals of all backgrounds. Through my experience in science-based fields and environmental education, I have developed strong skills in research, academic writing, communication, and mentorship. Working closely with high school students has allowed me to not only teach environmental science, but also help students build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. I have accumulated advanced writing skills both over time, and through prestigious courses.

About the lesson

I am a Career and Technical Academy student who has been enrolled in Honors English and AP Language courses throughout my academic career, and I am now eager to share that knowledge with others. My skills include proofreading, creating essay outlines, improving reading comprehension, analyzing rhetorical choices, strengthening argumentative writing, brainstorming ideas, refining grammar, and enhancing sophistication in writing.
My assistance is geared toward elementary, middle, and high school students, though I can also provide support for some college-level work. I use an interactive and personalized teaching approach designed to fit each student’s individual learning style and needs. My goal is not only to help students successfully complete assignments, but also to strengthen their overall understanding, confidence, and academic skills so they can continue to succeed independently.
My first course of action is to develop a strong understanding of each student’s comprehension level and individual learning style. From there, I create a personalized lesson plan tailored to their specific needs, strengths, and areas for growth. I believe that a “limitation” is not a defining characteristic, but rather a temporary obstacle that can be overcome with patience, encouragement, and the proper support. My priority is to create a learning environment where every student feels capable, supported, and motivated to succeed. I am open to having longstanding clients, or temporary clients. All are welcome!
