About Timothy
I am a semi-professional cyclist and full time student with the Open university, I love reading and writing my own prose and verse when time allows. I will always bring high energy to lessons to ensure you are engaged and not bored to death. I have unique interests ranging from sports to poetry and everything and anything you can find in between, I even play the clarinet! Expect the unexpected in lessons and we will get along fine. I am here to further your knowledge and I love to see effort and mistakes which are the biggest keys to learning. I have raced across Europe on my bicycle so I have some cool stories to tell and I think my experiences are completely different to your average tutor and I am definitely not one of those.

I normally teach lessons that are an hour in length. They always comprise a mixture of activities, reading new and different texts. I will do my best to make the learning materials relevant to you to enhance your ability to learn at the fastest rate possible. I am not content to cover subject matter you find easy. You will be stretched every lesson. I am in my third year of university reading for a BA in French with Spanish. I have a wealth of knowledge about the English classics and I'll always do my best to unveil the weird and wonderful hidden meanings of some of the most famous literature. I hope to share with my students my passion for poetry too, the reading of which I hope can become a pleasure and not a chore as it is so becoming in schools. This language is so diverse and wonderful, having been influenced by other languages from across the globe. It can be manipulated in so many ways and I only hope that I can bring confidence to all my students to become masters of this beautiful language too.
