About Jessica
I currently live in Memphis, Tennessee but lived most of my adult life in NYC. In addition to tutoring English, I also am a professional photographer and musician. I also am an educator in the universal healing power of reiki, and a certified yoga instructor. My new favorite thing to do is teaching my mom’s dog how to play fetch!

Hi! I am a very friendly, patient, and kind English tutor who graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University where I studied languages--specifically Latin and Ancient Greek. I am TEFL certified. My students partly choose me because I have a clear, neutral American accent. I am from and live in the USA. I do a lot of repeat after me exercises to help with accent reduction and pronunciation. My lessons are partly conversational, to get the student more confident speaking and listening, but I also provide a lot of exercises in the lesson, and make the exercises focused on the students' pain points in order to achieve fast improvement. My lessons are each tailored to the students' wishes and needs.
