About Emilia
I am a professional English teacher from the U.S. and my passion has always been for the connection we are able to find through literature and poetry. I am all-encompassing, empathetic, detail-oriented, and focused on assisting students in their endeavors, especially when it comes to the field of English and literature. I value language as an art, but most significantly, as a bridge. Even if students are merely seeking to improve their writing abilities for academic purposes, language and literature are within a field that nourishes the soul, ever-lasting. And it is an honor to partake in this part of the student's educational journey.

I approach English lessons with first getting to know what the student's goals are and what they wish to work on together. I then seek to discover what their personal interests are in regards to literature, in hopes of incorporating them into our lessons to fulfill the student's comfort and inspiration. Next, depending on whether we are beginning in composition or seeking to delve into literature comprehension and literacy, I will present either passages or novels for us to work on together over the course of the time-frame needed. I seek to bring personal connection to the student through academia and literature, in a way that encourages, inspires and engages them in the works we discuss. I implement all aspects of learning modalities in English, through speaking, visualization, concrete and abstract detail, writing, reading, comprehension and grammar for the ultimate success of each individual student.
