My teaching is student-centered with a focus on what the student needs to understand and gain from our time together. I draw on more than 10 years of experience in diverse classrooms to apply techniques that will work for you. Education is not one-size-fits-all.
My experience and focus are on applicable and transferable skills. We can work through a text or assignment that you need for homework, but the goal isn't just a grade. My goal is to make sure you walk away with a skill you can use again and again and again.
I can work with high school and early college students in grade-level English classes, composition, creative writing, and career writing (resumes and practical documents).
