About Amanda
I'm an English teacher. Graduated in Letters from UFRJ and post-graduated in English from PUC-RIO. I have extensive experience with children and I teach using constructivist methods and various games. For adults I work with all levels and ages. I use a communicative method focused on what the student needs and also what is necessary to communicate effectively with the world. I also prepare for exams.

For children I use constructivist approaches (Piaget, Reggio Emilia and Vygostky) designed for the child's age and how he sees and feels the world. Play permeates the entire class and is the basis of everything. For adults, I work with a communicative approach based on the use of language in authentic contexts so that the student realizes that their time will be invested in what they really need to use. I also work with English for specific purposes, such as: instrumental, preparatory, reading, conversation etc.
