I have lived in England and USA, I have worked hard with one-on-one classes, but it will also be easy to combine a couple of people together. I have lived in Madrid for 9 years and the Spanish I mastered very well then for me it would be very good to translate from English to Spanish.

One word: Practice. You can cover a weekly topic by talking only about this topic. I can recommend documentaries / books / articles on a topic like holidays, animals, political where the student reads well on a topic and then talk about this same topic. The subject obviously depends on the student.
