About Eirian
I am currently in my final year at UCL, studying English. I have previously tutored students in GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature and GCSE French. I received 10A*s at GCSE, and 3 As in English, Maths and French at A Level. I love English as a subject, and I hope to help more students enjoy it, too!

My teaching method is to firstly ask my student (and their parents) which areas they would like to work on most, and to focus on those aspects of the subject which they find most difficult. However, I also like to ensure that attention is given to all areas, including working on the things that the student enjoys doing and finds easiest, so as to help the student improve on the subject as a whole. Providing some variety in my approach to the lessons is something I endeavour to do, as I know how difficult it is to work at something when you don't enjoy it. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, and make sure they are happy with the way we are working together, by asking them for verbal feedback at the end of each session. I aim to create a reassuring and motivated environment for my students, and am excited to be a part of their journeys to improvement!
