About Lucy
I have more than 2 years of English tutoring experience working with students grades K-12. I graduated with an associate degree in English literature at 18 years old, earning a 4.0. During my junior year of high school I received a perfect score on the reading section of the ACT twice and scored highly in the English section. I am now a college student and double major in Government and English with a focus on writing and rhetoric. I have a 3.94 GPA and serve as a peer mentor in the Honors College where I help college freshmen learn to perform academic research. Outside of school, I compete for my school speech team, solve lots of crossword puzzles, and take care of my dog!

I can help prepare students for the SAT or ACT English and reading sections by facilitating practice exams, making exam corrections, identifying areas of weakness, and creating test taking strategies.
I also work with 8th grade students to prepare for admissions exams at competitive high schools by providing essay prompts, grading their essays, and teaching them how to work under time constraints.
