About Lara
I am a motivated, patient and enthusiastic individual who enjoys helping others learn, build confidence and achieve their goals. Having recently experienced the challenges of studying and preparing for exams myself, I understand the importance of having someone who can explain concepts clearly, provide encouragement and adapt their teaching to suit individual needs. I want to become a tutor because I enjoy sharing my knowledge, supporting students through challenges and helping them recognize their own abilities. I believe every student has the potential to succeed when given the right guidance and support, and I would love the opportunity to make a positive difference in their learning journey while helping them develop the skills and confidence to achieve their academic goals.

I would structure my tutoring lessons by first identifying the student’s strengths, weaknesses and individual learning needs to ensure each session is tailored to them. I would begin with a brief recap of previous content to reinforce understanding, followed by introducing new concepts and breaking them down into simple, manageable steps. I would use a variety of teaching methods, such as clear explanations, worked examples, practice questions and interactive activities, to keep lessons engaging and suit different learning styles. Throughout the lesson, I would regularly check the student’s understanding, encourage them to ask questions and provide constructive feedback. I would finish each session by reviewing the key concepts, identifying areas that may need further attention and setting achievable goals for the next lesson. My aim would be to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident, motivated and able to achieve their academic goals.
