About Lydia
I am about to start an English Literature degree at the University of Liverpool and achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A* at A Level. I have had previous tutoring experience, tutoring a small group of GCSE students in preparation for their English Literature and English Language exams, helping to build their confidence and allowing them to pass their exams with flying colours! I have a strong passion for English, but I also have a good understanding of the often tricky exam technique required for GCSE. As someone who has just recently left school, I can relate to students studying for their exams and have a good grasp on issues and topics that may be of concern to them - meaning I will be a patient and thoughtful tutor.

I approach each topic methodically, with a clear explanation, a patient approach and a repetition of key ideas. I believe repeated practice of techniques is key, particularly for reinforcing GCSE exam technique. Each lesson will focus on both the reiteration of a familiar concept and the introduction of a new concept or piece of information. This ensures the student is able to feel confident in their ability while also expanding and widening their knowledge and understanding of the subject.
