I aim to find something within the subject that the pupil enjoys, it's always easier to learn when you like the subject. I personally always found it easier to learn through talking with other people about the tasks at hand, which is what I aim to do. I find often the students that struggle are the ones that are left alone to struggle, which can feel isolating and confusing. Having someone to discuss and talk through ideas with, and give pointers to guide you in the right direction can not only improve grades but improve confidence in the subject as well.
