About Natalie
I am a graduate of both Durham University's English Literature degree and a Masters in Modern Literature at Edinburgh University, giving me a strong background in literature and academic writing. I have a passion for writing and have had creative and non-fiction writing published in several university publications, academic journals and online magazines, as well as previously tutoring on creative writing aspects of GCSE and A Level English courses. Furthermore, I have been tutoring online for over four years for students with a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities, which has allowed me to become very adaptable in my tutoring style.

My teaching method is very personalised to the individual students as from my experience having a blanket approach to teaching does not suit every student. For students sitting GCSE or A Level exams my teaching is centered around their specific syllabus and specification but with an emphasis on what the student enjoys within this to keep them enthusiastic and make the lessons enjoyable. For students with more specific concerns than simply exam or coursework preparation I create individual lessons plans addressing their needs, often with take-home resources to refer back to.
