About Adam
I am a recent graduate from The University of Edinburgh with a first class honours degree in English Literature (MA). My research is mostly concerned with contemporary theatre however I also tutor students in prose, poetry, close reading and essay writing. While at university I volunteered as a student helper in the Languages Literatures and Cultures department which involved meeting with new students to help prepare them for academic life at the university, I also volunteered with PALS an academic peer support network for literature students.

I am available to tutor high school students practicing for GCSE or A level exams (National 5/Higher in Scotland) in which I achieved A* grades. I will take students step by step through the processes of constructing a convincing and persuasive argument and structuring an effective essay. This will include practice in close critical analysis of texts either selected by the student or myself. Initially we will return to the basic principles of persuasive writing before working our way up to essay writing. Having written countless essays at one of the UK's best universities I can prepare students for what to expect from university.
