About Rhian
Hello, I’m Rhian. I’m an English graduate with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Language, and I’ve spent over twelve years working in marketing and communications.
I’ve always loved language and literature, and I have a passion for helping others find their voice and express their ideas with confidence. Through my work in marketing, I’ve developed strong skills in writing, critical thinking, and explaining complex ideas clearly — all of which I now bring into my tutoring.
I’m also a mum, which has given me a real appreciation of how important patience, encouragement, and individual support are.
My aim is to make learning feel enjoyable, engaging, and achievable. I try to create a relaxed atmosphere where students feel at ease asking questions, building confidence, and taking steps outside their comfort zone. Whether we’re exploring a Shakespeare text, improving essay writing, or working through a tricky assignment, I focus on building both skills and self-belief.
Outside of tutoring, I’m a keen reader and a music lover. I also hold Grade 8 piano and am (slowly) teaching myself to garden.

My lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are always tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. Some students come with specific homework assignments or essays they’d like support with, while others are keen to build their confidence, strengthen their analytical skills, or prepare for GCSE or A Level exams.
I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive, and focused on real progress. Together, we work through challenging texts, tackle tricky questions, develop essay-writing skills, and explore effective revision techniques. I help students not only understand what to write, but also how to think critically and approach their work with growing confidence.
