About Emma
I've always loved to teach. And I've always loved English Lit.
Tutoring came naturally to me, and I love being able to inspire my students, even if they're struggling to get into the rhythm of writing essays or not finding an interest in novels, poetry and plays.
Any student has the potential to be immersed in fiction, and when that happens, the critical thinking, essay-writing and study comes with it.

Hi there,
I`m a tutor passionate about all thing English Lit for levels GCSE and A-level.
Whether it`s Shakespeare or Woolf, I hope to spread some excitement and incite some active learning with my students. Rather than just reading from a text book, I encourage my students to start an open dialogue around the teachings, and through this learn to develop critical thinking which is vital to creating well-written essays.
After graduating from Goldsmiths University of London, I launched my career as a writer, and have four years experience in journalism and copywriting. I started working as a tutor part-time in university, and have never lost my enthusiasm for teaching.
Lessons are taught online, or in person. I'm based in Bow, East London.
