I am an English Literature and Creative Writing graduate from Goldsmiths' College London. I have a 2:1 in English and Creative Writing. I have six months experience with students, Spanish / English.

About Theo
A lot of what is pertinent about me has already been covered.
But to restate things: I am a native English speaker, with a 2:1 in English and Creative Writing from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
I have experience teaching, as I worked as a teaching assistant, (co-)teacher and in pastoral support for six months. There, I was often moving between two languages; I speak fluent Spanish and conversational Brazilian Portuguese.
I'm grateful for chance to teach anyone and everyone, but I am particularly focused on helping other neurodiverse take in the pleasures of literature. I have no SENCo qualifications, just my own lived experience of having severe dyspraxia and having a severe learning difficulty. Still, I have a 2:1, so I must have 'done something right'!
I am interested in teaching students who are in their late teens or older. Ideally other adults. I am available on Monday nights.

In general, these classes have two modes: either to supplement other study or to give a broad overview. Students are ideally in their late teens if not older.
All classes will be focused on literature or film, not English comprehension.
Home work won't be assigned, but rather all necessary study which isn't reading will be done within the class.
Lessons will be intensive and focus on close reading (or in the case of films studying a screenplay as well as watching the film where possible).
Students will be taught at the level of a university undergraduate.
Although I have no qualifications, I am neurodiverse and I am related to neurodiverse people. If you suffer from dyspraxia, dyslexia or Asperger's, I may be able to suggest strategies to help you learn. Nothing is guaranteed.
