I have experience with creative writing and have written more essays than I can count. I have mastered essay writing with professionalism and grace and I am familiar with different genres of creative writing and poetry. I offer student-centered teaching that addresses the student's interests and learning styles. My lesson starts with getting to know the student and making sure they are comfortable with me, and then I introduce concepts focusing on review and mnemonic devices to increase memory of terms. I focus on critical thinking and intentionality within subjects the students are already interested in to help them think critically in all that they do. I offer lessons for students in grades 7-12 for English production (literary analysis, essay and creative writing).
