About Onezwa

Hi there! My name is Onezwa Mthi and I am excited to share a little bit about myself with you. I am 27 years enthusiastic female from South Africa and a passionate teacher who holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences majoring in psychology and sociology with a TEFL certification. I have 5 years of experience working for the Human Resources department, my job duties including interacting with candidates daily, running an assessment center for recruits, marking them, and giving them their assessment feedback. At tertiary I used to be a PAL leader, tutoring level 1 students.
I can't use one methodology to deliver lessons, It depends on the topic sometimes I use the question-and-answer method just to check their understanding of whatever topic we will be doing.
Most times I prefer the present practice production method.
I present the topic to my students by explaining the concepts.
I allow students time to practice what they have learned (making sentences about the newly acquired concepts). I observe them and correct them where necessary.
Later I do production where I come up with worksheets and let them work on their own and then provide feedback at the end of the production process.
I am a proficient English teacher, I will teach you how to speak, read, and write English.
My lessons are simple and interactive.
I use pictures, flashcards, and other instruments to demonstrate a lesson and soon you will be able to speak, read, and write English.
