About Wesley
I am an experienced English teacher who has worked with students in traditional classrooms, informal settings, and online. Because I have worked with learners of all ages and levels and from many different countries and cultures, I know how to adapt to your unique needs.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education, where my studies focused on some of my favorite topics: environmental sustainability, social justice, and love of learning. I bring a wide variety of interesting topics into our lessons—from science and nature to community and culture. I want to celebrate and build on the indivual interests and knowledge of my students. I will customize our lessons to fit your specific goals, personal interests, and learning needs so that you can truly thrive.

Every student is unique, so I plan every single lesson just for you to meet your personal learning goals. In our class, you can always expect a calm, focused, and fun environment where you can feel comfortable practicing.
The following is an overview of most of my lessons:
Lesson Outline: We start with a look at what we will do that day.
Review: We practice what you learned in our last lesson either through conversation or reading.
New Concept: I introduce a new topic or growth area.
Practice: We practice the new skill together through conversation, reading and writing, flash card drills, and games.
Assessment: I provide a challenge for the student to complete , and give feedback on the completion of the task. I monitor and record changes over time toward achievement of learning goals.
Q&A: We end with time for you to ask any questions.
