About Safiya
I have recently graduated with a 2:1 in English Literature from the University of Birmingham (degree certificate dated 2019). I have an up to date DBS certificate (2020) and a background of working with children in an educational setting. I have a passion for reading and hope to help others to learn while also helping them to find their own key interest in the subject. My previous experience includes a year of voluntary work in my local primary school, supporting year 1 students with private reading and taking 'story time' sessions with the whole class. I have also worked in a Tutoring school in Birmingham called 'Young Einstein' where I helped a small class with spelling, reading, writing and comprehensive questions every week. I also wrote mock 11+ reading comprehension questions for those studying for the 11+.

I make classes informative and fun while I also identify their strengths and weaknesses in each area in order to develop each skill for an all rounded student. I consolidate learning by providing an overview of each topic, going into depth on lessons where the student needs more support. I encourage each student to find their own best unique method of studying to grow their confidence and independence.
