About Richard
I am a senior examiner at A Level and have 30 years experience as Head of English in top schools, including Wycombe Abbey. I have been an Assistant Head with whole school responsibility for exam results. I lecture at A Level conferences and have been tutoring online for 6 years at GCSE, IGCSE and A Level. I deliver whole courses to Home Ed students and support students in mainstream education. I can provide excellent testimonials and records of results.

As a senior examiner with responsibilities for marking and paper setting I know how important the level descriptors are that examiners use to assess students' work. I interpret the grade descriptors for students, and work with past questions to make sure that they know exactly what to do reach the grades they are aiming for. More than anything, I am passionate about English and English Literature, genuinely care about my students and the results and progress they make.
