Compared with daily language or literary writing, academic English has its own characteristics in terms of diction, article structure, emotion and so on.
1. You are usually using formal and impersonal writing style.
2. Avoid abbreviations and abbreviations, such as won't, doesn't or it's, and use will not, does not and it is instead.
3. Avoid using connectives like and or but at the beginning of a sentence. Instead, use more precise sentences.
4.Avoid using personal pronouns like I, me, you, your, etc. (unless required in specific parts)
5. You can use passive verbs to avoid repetition or incorrect use of pronouns, but be careful about correctness.
6.Avoid verbs with more than one word, such as give up, put up with
7. They tend to express and explain academic research and findings in a more cautious way, using phrases such as may, it is possiblethat, could.
